Capture Leads from Out of Stock Inventory and Increase Sales!

Show a notification button on out of stock products in WooCommerce and get results!

Beginning the relationship and communication channel can be as simple as adding a “request inventory alert” button under products that are out of stock on your website. When a customer gives their contact information, they’re added to a list to receive a back in stock notification for that out of stock product and you can even recommend an alternative product that they can purchase right now. You could even make that product an upsell and offer a more expensive item.

The benefits of adding a “Notify Me” button to your products:

  • Opens a direct line of communication with you customer
  • Increase leads and sales
  • Provides insight about general consumer interest in your product.
  • Keeps the customer interested and collects valuable data, rather than losing them to a competitor.

Making the Connection: From lost sale to future customer.

Offering an alternative item is a great way to retain a current customer or make a sale to a new customer that could have been lost. If the item the customer wanted is going to take a while to restock, or becomes discontinued this gives you a new opportunity to make a sale. At the same time allowing you to connect with your customers in an engaging format that’s likely to drive them to make a purchase. 

Sometimes, the customer just  needs a little nudge in the right direction.  

Maybe they searched for a lawnmower that a friend recommended, but you’ve got a similar  model that’s just a tad more expensive with additional features. Perhaps the customer was looking for a black lace off-the-shoulder top with three quarter sleeves, but  you’ve got a long sleeve version that’s just as beautiful. Depending on the item in question, suggestions can be a great way to engage your customers, increase their satisfaction and make the sale.
